Terrorists Now Hate the US

ScrappleFace War Provides Terrorists Long-Awaited Motive
(2003-04-03) -- Terrorists worldwide say they finally have the long-awaited motive to attack civilians with bombs, guns, poison gas and even perhaps commercial airliners.
Speaking on behalf of the League of Islamic Extremists, Iranian President Mohammad Khatami warned on Thursday that the U.S.-led military assault on Iraq would increase violence and extremism in the world.
Until now, terrorists have waited for years, passively and peacefully, for an excuse to blow up buses, hijack planes and knock down buildings full of civilians.
"With this war you are giving a green light to extremist movements and violence-seekers to answer back your violence with violence," Mr. Khatami said.
An unnamed terrorist said he could hardly contain his enthusiasm at the Iranian leaders remarks.
"Now, we can act," said the terrorist. "These have been depressed times for the terror industry. We were out of work because we didn't have a reason to strike. That's all behind us now that the U.S. has invaded Iraq.
