Washington - The Department of Energy has been playing Santa Claus in the Nevada desert, giving away trucks, trailers and a copier for pennies - and expensive laboratory equipment for free.

[Including] Twenty-three light trucks that had cost $447,932 in all. Although some needed repairs, all were listed in good condition. The Nevada Test Site sold them for an average of 17 cents each.

"With this war you are giving a green light to extremist movements and violence-seekers to answer back your violence with violence," Mr. Khatami said.



An unnamed terrorist said he could hardly contain his enthusiasm at the Iranian leaders remarks.



"Now, we can act," said the terrorist. "These have been depressed times for the terror industry. We were out of work because we didn't have a reason to strike. That's all behind us now that the U.S. has invaded Iraq.
